This year has been really interesting for us. For our kids, they have no reference point. They don't remember how uneventful 2019 was. They aren't watching the news on YouTube or scrolling through posts after posts on social media regarding the current climate of our society. How did we explain this to our children?
PUT ON YOUR MASK OR YOU'LL GET CORONAVIRUS
Scare tactic doesn't always work but it's fun. My son understands the concept of clean and dirty. The coronavirus to him, is just like any other bug that you don't want on your body so this discussion promotes improved hygiene. With this change, we have actually noticed that he is healthier and hasn't caught the common cold as frequently as he use to at his daycare. He might not be able to fully grasp the reason why everyone at the supermarket is wearing masks or the reasons why we can't go visit his grandparents and honestly, he might not care. I am happy if he respects the germs and respects people's space
MOVING FORWARD
Post Covid-19, I think we will be a better world, cautious, but better.
